Drew Estate's rollers created Undercrown around 2010, when Liga Privada demand meant they could no longer smoke it freely at La Gran Fabrica in Estelí. It debuted at the 2011 IPCPR show. Jonathan Drew called it Liga Privada inverted: buying whole farm crops, a priming that serves as ligero in Liga Privada becomes viso in Undercrown, and the other way round.
