La Gloria Cubana began in Cuba in 1885 and was reborn on Calle Ocho, where Ernesto Perez-Carrillo built El Credito into a Miami institution and made Serie R the benchmark every modern full-bodied, large-ring cigar is still measured against. The house runs on that reputation — Ecuadorian Sumatra and Nicaraguan Jalapa wrappers over Dominican and Nicaraguan filler.
