Added in summer 2018 as one of Montecristo's four core blends alongside the Classic, White and Platinum, the Nicaragua Series is Abdel Fernández's work, made at his Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Estelí. Altadis aimed it at smokers looking for something bolder, and Cigar Aficionado ranked it No. 10 among its cigars of 2018.
