Released in November 2020 for the 85th anniversary of Montecristo, a brand founded in 1935 by Alonso Menéndez, as Altadis's first interpretation of the original 1935 blend, worked out by its Grupo de Maestros, Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernandez. Fernández makes it as a soft-pressed Nicaraguan puro from his own farms at the San Lotano factory in Ocotal, and Cigar Aficionado named the No. 2 its No. 2 Cigar of the Year for 2021.
