Sensory Blend Profile
Sweet natural tobacco with citrus and a jalapeño-like pepper on the tongue, white pepper through the nose, and coffee arriving.
Coffee and natural tobacco eclipse the citrus, with white pepper close behind and the tobacco's sweetness at its best.
Coffee and natural tobacco hold the lead as the pepper rises a little and the citrus fades.
Espada, Spanish for “sword”, launched in 2014 as the first Montecristo made only from Nicaraguan tobacco, blended by Montecristo's Grupo de Maestros and made by the Plasencia family from vintage Jalapa, Ometepe and Condega leaf. Its sizes take sword terms: the guard is the bar where blade meets hilt.
