In 1983 the Hemingway series brought back the perfecto. Carlos Fuente Sr. gathered his father's old perfecto molds from the family warehouse in Ybor City, took them to the new factory in Santiago and taught the master roller to make the shape again. Every Hemingway is still a perfecto, traditionally wrapped in Cameroon leaf from the Meerapfel family.
